Evening Walks

Erick and I have always loved taking walks together!  In Utah we would walk together every night and now that the weather has cooled off here in AZ, we are initiating our favorite pass time again.  On Sunday we took a walk and caught a glimpse of this gorgeous sky!  Since we moved here my favorite part of AZ is how big the sky is, and we get beautiful sun sets all the time!

Christmas Festivities!

These two love birds are our very good friends, Jaymie and Jesse.  They are the coolest peeps ever and we love hanging out with them!  On Sunday night they had a bunch of friends over for Christmas festivities!  There was good food, awesome people, and hilarious games.  We had so much fun with you guys!  Thanks again!

Every birthday in the Lund family is celebrated with a birthday board!  Erick's family has been doing this since he can remember!  Erick always makes the cutest birthday boards!  Thanks hunny!  It made my day!

My sister Lindsey sent me the cutest package, and this headband and earings are a few of the things she sent!  Oh doesn't she have good taste!  Thanks Linds!  I LOVE them!

Here's a BIG THANK YOU to all the incredible and thoughtful people who made my Birthday amazing!  Thanks for all the phone calls, emails, and surprises on my doorstep!  I love you all!

Erick's White Coat Ceremony!

On December 5th, one week ago, Erick and all the other first year medically affiliated students at Midwestern University had the opportunity of being presented their White Coats.  It was such a neat experience!  Erick has worked so hard to get into Dental School and just finished his first semester!   Way to go Hubby!  I am so proud of you!

Dr. Simmonson is presenting Erick with his White Coat. He is the Dean of the dental program and is Swedish!  How cool is that!  Him and Erick like to talk "urshky durshky" together!  He's a great guy!

These are all the great friends that Erick drives to school with every day and studies with every Saturday!  Dental School totally wouldn't be the same with out them!  We love you guys and your adorable families!

Erick!  Thanks for working so hard, for always doing your best, and for putting your family and the Lord first in your life!  I am so proud of you!  Keep up the great work!

Every month a bunch of us girlfriends get together and we have a book club.  Usually it turns into one massive gab session and we all end up talking about everything but the book!  It's so much fun!  This month we read "The Secret Life of Bees," which I highly recommend.  The movie is fabulous too!

Yesterday was Erick's first day of his Thanksgiving break.  He just finished his first quarter of school and might I add that he tore it up!  Way to go hunn!  So he took the day and went exploring to the White Tank Mountains that are near our house.  Of all the awesome scenery in Arizona, his bike is still his favorite!

My Heart Belongs To Edward......I Mean ERICK!!!

So I have totally caught Twilight Fever!  I have heard about the "vampire books" for months now and finally decided to read them!  It was so fun and I'm so excited for the movie to come out now!  The reason I'm posting about this is because just the other day something hilarious in the Lund home happened.  I was just finishing up the last of the series and needed Erick to do something for me.  I called for him and instead of yelling ERICK!  I yelled Edward!!! Needless to say, it's a good thing I'm finished.

BBQ In November!

Erick and I LOVE living in Arizona!  We especially love that it's 70 degrees outside and we can still BBQ for dinner!  Yum!  Tonight Erick grilled the yummiest shish- kabobs (I have no idea how to spell that!) ever! 

To all you amazing bloggers out there in the world.......I think I owe you an apology!  You see...I'm the world's WORST blogger!!!!  I have a whole list of excuses, believe me I do, but really in the end, they're just excuses right!  So here's my lame attempt to tell you that my husband and I are awful at taking pictures...and this is all I could scramble up to tell you about!

Erick is just finishing up his first quarter of Dental School and let me take a minute to brag about what an amazing job he has done balancing life, callings, school, and being married to ME! Honey, you so totally ROCK!  And isn't he just so dang sexy in those scrubs!

Then there's me........Yes many of you know I have taken a new life's course.  NO, I have not "given up" nursing, and YES I am LOVING cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell!  I lasted...OH....about a week and a half before chopping my long hair off into a trendy bob...and don't forget the fringe (that's what they're calling bangs these days).  I had my second client today and we had a blast!  She bought three bottles of product and gave me a fat tip after a fabulous 'cut and color'!  It was a special day in what I like to call "Mandy history".

Quite a few weeks ago we had the joys of hanging out with the nieces and nephews while Matt and Polly went to the temple.  We had such a blast!  We played at the pool and had a BBQ!  We loved having them over!

Duffy!

So this is a cute little dog right?  Let me tell you about her.....

Our really cute neighbor Michelle found this darling little chuahuah (if that's even how you spell it) roaming around outside as lost as could be! She wanted to help it find it's owner, but already has three dogs of her own.  So she knocked on our door Saturday morning and asked if we would "puppy-sit" until she found the owners.  She's pasted signs all over the neighborhood and knocked on a million doors....needless to say, we have no idea who this dog belongs to!

In the meantime....Erick and I have fallen in love with this cute little thing.  We named her "Duffy" and I've already picked out a leopard print puppy bed and pink diamond collar for her if she gets to stay!  How fun!

The diaper you ask?  A creative way to keep the floors clean.  Duffy is in heat!  AHHHH!!!!  I know!  But it's working great and it's pretty funny too!

Summer Recap!

This summer Erick and I had a blast with all of our nieces and nephews!  We hung out at the pool, went to the demolition derby, canoed at first dam, took my national boards (RN), and moved!  It was quite a summer!  Here are some highlights of our favorite pics!  Notice they're mostly the nieces and nephews, no, we're not obsessed or anything!

Our new house is finished finally!

Erick and I have officially moved to the big AZ!  What an adventure we're having! Before we left we had some photography done in Cache Valley so we could take a piece of home with us!

Mandy and I visited Phoenix again this last weekend and finalized everything that will be done with our house. It was really exciting to sit back and watch Mandy and our consultant create a sweet home. This peice of dirt is where we are going to live for the next four years. Wahoo!
