Summer Life!

Erick's summer consisted of getting ready for his National Boards for Dental School and then traveling to Texas for 45 days of Military Training. Each task presented different struggles, but in the end both turned out to be great experiences and are now things of the past.
Erick purchased a small chair at camp this summer. That way when they had to sit around and wait for a bus or weapons turn in he was able to get off the hot cement.
There were several students from Midwestern who were also at attendance at the camp. This is Erick and his friend Ben while learning about the M16.
Erick was lucky enough to be roommates with an old friend from Cache Valley (Jarom B.) This picture was taken during a night land navigation course.
Now living the officer dream, Erick and his classmates became effective M9 soldiers.
Some of the most relative training they received in Texas was dealing with mass casualties treatment and transport. Here Erick was role playing the injured Joe.
At the end of the day it was also fun for him to take a break from the Army training and come out to the Golf Course which was just behind his hotel.

Living the surprise in Surprise

Mandy has had a huge year in so many ways.  I have really wanted to do something extra special to show her how amazing she has been and to spoil her in some way.  Well I figured it out and made it into a surprise.  A week ago Mandy knew I had a surprise for her at the house but didn't know what it was.  I had given her clues to make her think that the surprise was something like a new picture or something to do with old memories and photography.  Much to her surprise she found something in the garage when she came home from school that day...hee-hee!

Now here is my chance to just tell you Mandy how proud I am of you and how amazing you have been this year!!!  In every aspect of you life you have tried you best and given your all. You are caring, loving, thoughtful, energetic, empathetic, devoted and fun.  I love and adore you.
