For Lynsi!

So Lynsi, here you go!  I grabbed a few pictures from my little life here at school and I think they paint a fun picture of campus, and what I do here.  Enjoy!

Welcome to Midwestern University!  This huge banner was used at a booth a few weeks ago, and I liked it.  It shows some of my friends at school working with our faculty, etc.
When you first pull into campus, this is the first area you see.
Fountains and grass are priceless here in Arizona and I love how our campus is so green and beautifully landscaped.
I come out here most days for lunch and sit on my bench...kind of like Dad did at USU.
After a simple lunch or in-between classes I like to come out here and play some basketball.  Nothing like outdoor basketball with friends in January :)
I've never played V-ball here but they keep the sand really nice, and students are always playing a game here after school.
This is our lab where we learn to be Dentists.  I love all the windows, and I feel really spoiled to have all new top of the line equipment...to break :)
This year they completed this new 2500 person auditorium/classrooms building.  We meet here each day for our classes.
This is a view inside the auditorium's lobby, with lots of good places to sit and study/talk.
The auditorium can be divided into several smaller rooms, which is how it is during most days.  This section is our room where we meet every day for our lectures.
Everybody in AZ was excited for the Cardinals when the Superbowl was upcoming.  One day we were able to drop our dress code and we all wore shirts to support our Cardinals.  It sure was fun to have a good team to cheer for!
Each week we are divided up into small groups and we learn about a clinical condition that a "make belief patient" has, and then we go research specific objectives and present as a group to a member of our faculty.  I've really learned a lot with this.
Here is my little lab friend who I named "Sam".
On lab days we have small learning groups and part time educator/dentists who come in and teach us the practical side of dentistry.  These are my friends who sit closest to me and our instructors.
One of the biggest reasons I came here was because of our Dean.  He is on the far right of this picture.  I have so much to learn from him, and I am excited I have 4 years to milk with him close by.  This picture was taken on the morning of the Tour de Cure.  A bike race which helps raise money to cure Diabetes.  I didn't ride in it, but I did some simple volunteering in the morning.
So now you've seen the majority of what I see each day.  Besides our small lunch room and the ping-pong tables...you've now had the grand tour :)  I really am loving being here and I honestly smile to myself each day as I walk around campus.  I couldn't have asked to be at a better place!

Spring Break 2009!!!

This last week Erick had his Spring Break and we had so many fun adventures and had a blast with the people we love....here are a few insights to one of the greatest weeks ever!
Erick and Kevin plotted a surprise for Lindsey!!!  We surprised her in L.A. and then took a trip to San Diego for the weekend.
We loved walking all over downtown Coronado...mmmm, bananas.
When our feet got tired we pulled out our bikes and saw the rest of the Island!
The whole Island was full of beautiful homes just like this one!  So many flags!!
Back at the hotel, me and Linds got ready for a night on the town.  BTW...check out the view from our window!!!
This up-close view from our hotel shows it all.  That's Coronado Island in the background.  What beautiful weather!!!
Linds and Kevin look'n good!  Aren't they the cutest?!
A little post-dinner romantisizing at the Gaslamp district of San Diego!
The ocean is calling our names!!!  So breathtaking!
We rode our bikes along a fun strip of the beach and this was one of our pit-stops along the way.
At the pit-stop we watched these wind-surfers jump, rip and crash!!! It was so much fun to watch them do their thing!
The bike path...ahhh, so relaxing!
After church on Sunday we got to see the San Diego temple for the first time...WOW!!!
After our fun in Cali, Erick and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary.  We were able to see Les Miserables, it was so amazing.  Those singers are gifted!!!
Then to rap up Erick's Spring Break he and his brother Matt had a man-date in Tucson.
It's pro-baseball Spring Training time here in AZ and they enjoyed a fun game on the lawn!
Don't they look like they're having a great time?!!!
Well, Spring Break has now come and gone...and real life gets to begin again.  This was the sunset tonight which just summed up a great week.  Thanks for sharing it with us!!!  Love you all!

A Rough AZ Winter!

This winter so far has been pretty rough for us AZers.  We've had to put up with perfect temperatures, dry weather, green grass, and great company!  In January we had so much fun having family stay!  Here is just an idea of all the great fun we had!.......
All the kids, big kids included, had a blast playing baseball at the park right by our house.

I thought this picture caught the most adorable moment of Matt and Polly's kids!  How cute!
How do you eat your banana?  Kyler likes to take a bite right out of the middle first!
Erick and his bro Andy had a blast golfing together!  A must-do when you visit AZ!
I love this picture!
With all the fam around, we even got so lucky as to have Grandma AJ here!  It was such a pleasure to visit with her, Gordy, and her sisters!
Two of my very fabulous sister-in-laws, Katie and Polly.
It was so much fun going to the PHX Zoo with Andy and Katie and their adorable girls!

The Zoo is always so much fun.....but who isn't ready for a nap when the day is done?
Erick just had his 27th birthday! Woohoo!  Of course we must follow tradition with the Lund family birthday board, birthday cereal, and presents in the morning.  Happy Birthday Babe!
One of our very most favorite things to do lately is play baseball at the park right by our house.  Erick practices pitching, and I hit as many baseballs as I can......which to Erick's surprise, happens to be most of them!
What's baseball without a good hotdog?
To celebrate Valentines Day our amazing friends Megan and Adam threw a fabulous party for many of our Midwestern friends.
We had the party at our club house, a little too chilly still to swim, but you can't beat dancing, BBQing, and mormon margaritas!  Thanks again!  We had a blast!

Christmas Break

We had so much fun seeing family and friends over the holidays!  Here is a plethera of pictures!  As you can tell we loved seeing our nieces and nephews and had a blast with all our siblings as well!
Rachel coloring us a picture.
Me and cute Ashley.
There was sooo much snow!  We got stuck in the driveway 6 times trying to get out so we could go snowboarding at the Beav.
The Beav was just as great as we remembered!  We love snowboarding!
Emma and Kallie!  We can't believe how big you're getting!  Can't wait to see you in just two weeks!
We got to make gingerbread houses with Jim and Lauri's kids.  They did such a great job and Rachel and Ashley had a lot of fun licking the frosting off their fingers afterward!

All the girls played princess!  Tana, you're such a doll!
I had to post this pic of Lia.  It's just too adorable!
Erick and Lydia!  She was so much fun to play with!
The Christmas nativity with Lauri's family.  See if you can pick out their kids.
Happy Birthday Lindsey!
The boys in the "eagle's nest" hanging out.  Thanks Sherma, for letting us stay!  We missed you!
Megan and Adrian at the basketball game!  Go AGGIES!!!!
We had so much fun ice skating!

Thanks for all the fun and unforgettable memories!
